Why homeowners choose Sikeston Carpet & Flooring
We come to your house, show you samples, and give you a stress-free in-home estimate.
We carry carpet, luxury vinyl plank and laminate, with a showroom on Virginia Street in Sikeston.
Carpet is what we sell most of and what we know best — bedrooms, living rooms and stairs.
We take the old floor out and haul it away, and leave the subfloor flat and ready for what comes next.
We look at what is under your existing floor before we quote, so prep is a line on the estimate rather than a surprise later.
We will tell you when the flooring you asked for is the wrong answer for that room, and why.

Common questions
How does the free in-home estimate work?
You call us, we agree a time, and we come to your house with samples. We measure the rooms properly, look at what is under your existing floor, and leave the samples with you so you can see them in your own light next to your own trim. You get a written figure afterwards rather than a number guessed over the phone.
Where are you based, and how far do you travel?
Our showroom is at 614 Virginia Street in Sikeston. We cover Scott County, New Madrid County and the surrounding Bootheel — Cape Girardeau, Scott City, Dexter, New Madrid, Portageville, East Prairie, Lilbourn, Gideon and Matthews among them. If you are not sure whether we reach you, call and ask.
What flooring do you actually install?
Carpet, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and tile, plus stairs and trim, floor removal and demo, and commercial flooring. We do not install or refinish hardwood — if solid wood is genuinely what your house needs, we will tell you that rather than steer you into something else.
Do you take the old flooring out?
Yes. Removing the old carpet, pad, tack strip, vinyl or tile and hauling it away is part of the job and it is in the written quote. We would much rather take a floor out than lay over it, because layering onto an unknown base is the most common reason a new floor fails early.
How long does a typical job take?
It depends on the floor. Carpet is usually a day for a normal run of rooms and can be walked on straight away. Plank and laminate often need the material to sit in the house first so it settles at the room's conditions. Tile takes longest because it has to set and then be grouted. We give you a realistic window at the estimate.
Do you offer financing?
Not yet, but it is coming. We are setting up financing now, and the details will go up here as soon as it is in place. If it matters to your project, ask us at your estimate and we will tell you where it stands.
Will you do a single room?
Yes, and there is no minimum. One bedroom or one hallway is a perfectly normal job. We would rather do one room well than talk you into five you did not want.
How do I get started?
Call 573-471-8700 or send us your details and we will get back to you to book the in-home estimate. Tell us roughly which rooms you are thinking about and we will bring samples that suit them.
